This was an awesome conversation! I especially liked Danny's point about the interconnectedness of tech and how it's increasingly impossible for one person to learn every area in depth. I agree this is impossible but I believe what we are moving into is a future where the most useful skill is less understanding one area in depth and more systems thinking: how to bring areas together to solve a problem.
We had an oral culture, then writing culture and next we'll transition to a systems culture. This could look like one individual orchestrating networks of AIs and robots to accomplish far more than was previously possible for any single person.
